Here's What's Going on in My Horsey Life!

July 27, 2023

A quick peek behind the scenes at The Horsey Life

It's been a busy few months here in Virginia. I was sidelined by a mystery illness for several weeks, which meant postponing the launch of my new podcast, Find Yourself, on a Horse.

I'm starting to feel better now, and part of the reason is that one project that's been in the works for a bit has been completed - Laddie and Bella have moved home! It's been a few years since we had horses living at home, and I'm loving it! Laddie, my 33-year-old Dutch warmblood gelding, and Bella, my 14-year-old OTTB mare, seem to be enjoying it, too!

The other news...

Yes, my podcast is finally launching on August 1st! I'm completely new to podcasting, so I've decided to throw myself in at the reeeeaaallly deep end and film all of the episodes and put them on YouTube as well as release them as an audio podcast. Because, hey - why not? (I try not to stop and think about that question for too long, or I might start hyperventilating :-)

I also designed a new logo which you can see at the top of this email, and have been honing my "tagline" for The Horsey Life Coach. My current version is:

"Helping women transform their relationships with their horses, and ultimately, themselves - one breath at a time."

I'd love to know what you think!

Last bit of news - I have a new giveaway! It's an introductory guide to Tapping (also known as EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique) for horsewomen.

Tapping is proven to help relieve stress - it's used quite a bit on veterans and others with PTSD. It's also super effective on headaches, stiff necks, general anxiety - all the things that can pop up in a horsewoman's life.

The link is HERE if you'd like to download your free copy!

Until next time!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I'm sorry this email is arriving to you a day late - add tech gremlins and a migraine to a holiday week and it just throws everything off! Last week I promised a 25% discount on The Horsey Life Planners from my Etsy shop. They're available in both printable and digital format - the digital version works on your tablet with a program like Goodnotes. The coupon code is SAVE25, and it's good through December 8th. As an added bonus, if you purchase a...

Last week's rain and warmer temperatures deserted us yesterday in favor of some light snow,❄️ wind, and high temps in the 40s. It. Was. Not. Pleasant! I guess considering it's nearly the end of November, I can't really complain! I'm having a great time writing weekly posts for Aging Horsewomen International over on Facebook. The longer versions are on my blog, as usual. Information about my new course and how to become a beta tester will be in next week's newsletter - you'll be able to take...

August23, 2023 Late summer changes & challenges. For those of you who stuck with my long email last week - thank you! This week's will be much shorter, I promise. 😁 The days are also getting shorter, and, in contrast to the spring shedding season which heralds warmer weather, late summer's shed is a whole different feeling. Having grown up in CT, fall was not my favorite time of year, because it ushered in a long, cold, and dark winter. Not Alaska-strength long, cold, and dark, but dark...
